CSA as a Service

CSA as a Service provides a solution-suite tailored to address ESG performance, risk exposure, and risk management assessment needs for Private Equity, Private Debt, Supply Chains, as well as listed entities which are currently not covered by our S&P Global ESG Score universe.

Moreover, the CSA as a Service enables you to measure and benchmark the sustainability performance of your company, suppliers, clients or third parties on a wide range of financially relevant environmental, social and governance & economic criteria.

The Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA) proprietary methodology leverages the unique expertise underlying the renowned Dow Jones Best-In Class Indices to assess companies with up to 120 questions. Those questions are part of up to 25 general and industry-specific sustainability criteria, all built into 3 dimension-level metrics (E, S and G) and 1 overall CSA score.

CSA as a Service also includes the Risk Exposure Assessment, a scalable ESG risk modelling and baseline risk assessment methodology, that enables investors and buyers to understand the sustainability risk profile of an entire portfolio and/or supply chain. Companies seeking deeper insights of how those risks are managed can also select the CSA Fundamentals methodology which is ideal for SMEs and Start-ups or the Supplier Risk Management (SRM) methodology tailored for supplier due diligence, third party risk assessment and sustainability in supply chains.

In a nutshell, other than the possibility for all companies to participate in the CSA assessment, the CSA as a Service solution includes:

  • CSA Fundamentals, a tailored CSA questionnaire, ideal for Non-Listed Micro and Nanocap companies to initiate their sustainability efforts efficiently and align with evolving market trends.
  • The possibility for companies to get a S&P Global ESG Score to be leveraged during an IPO process.
  • The Risk Exposure Assessment (REA) solution that provides highly scalable ESG risk exposure, based on just a few input parameters, such as company name, location, and industry.
  • The Supplier Risk Management (SRM) solution that enables the assessment of the ESG risk management performance of a selected set of supply chain companies.
